How do i save a photoshop 7 psd to one that photoshop 6 can read?

i just had a quick wonder and couldn't find anything that does it so guess it doesn't, might be that you can just try opening a ps7 psd in ps6 and it'll discard what it can't handle... OR just get whoever you giving it to to update.

just get whoever you giving it to to update.

haha - yeh ill do some cheap designs for you, but im afraid you'll have to upgrade your software which will cost you about £500! enjoy.

I dont think that'll work mate

i've opened files in 6 from 7, or in 7 from CS for that matter.

make sure they have

Edit >> Preferances >> Saving Files >> Maximize backward compadibility in Photoshop Format

checked on.

Nice find Riddla. I know in CS and up, they have an option right on the Save Dialog box to maximize backward compadiblibity.
