I like the second one a lot. You captured the colors very well, they are nice and vivid.

I really like the clarity of that photo FiveDee. That was probably harder to do since it was dark out, good job keeping the focus crisp. Maybe a little less of the water would have helped it even more. Nonetheless, it was a good shot.

thanks, its actually 3 shots. I photo merged it. I didnt have a tripod that night so all my shots had to be on trashcans or ledges etc... thats why this one had a lot of water in it, plus I was using the tamron wide angle.

Yeah, I could sort of tell that you merged them together, it's hard to make it look 100% perfect with you merge photos with water in it though. As you can see that the red light reflection off the water is noticeable toward the end.

i think the water in fivedee's picture is ace, looks solid like mud or something, like how flat it is.

Nice one emo!
Good focus man, great DOF. Only thing I would try to do is get a shot of the whole flower and isolate it more ( lower F ), I think a 2.8 should do the trick.
Or try to take the flower and light it with a lamp and a black solid background.

I'm not sure if Emo's lens does have the capability to go all the way down to a 2.8.
ps. FiveDee, I'm currently testing a Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 IS L ( awesome thing! )

Thx guys :)
@ SA -> Yeah normally I just create a 4/5px black border around it and done. But I show these also at a Dutch photograph forum and most of the time people want to know the settings without downloading/viewing the EXIF, so then a tool like -> Bordermaker comes very handy!
