It has been a while, I think it looks pretty good, but it's hard to tell since it's pretty small.

Thank you

emo_boy

O.K. when you ask that question... To be honest man on and off since 2000, but the past year I have been profusely trying to get texturing down. Really, to answer your question... I'm sorry for babbling so much but I have I guess for 5 years!

Why do you ask?

Just wondering. I like the blending job you did with the design.

Thanks dude :ai:

Hey emo would you like to throw down with a nice texturefic match?
Any theme.

Let me know.

A lot of forums are kind of dead, I guess because of summer. But I'm dying to battle!

Peace!

Throw up a new thread with some rules and eventually a serve. Who knows... maybe somebody will step in and accept the challenge ;)

I'm back and to prove it I'll revive a thread that's been dead for almost five months.

I'm not really shaped for these things any more but I might have a go sometime- be nice to go back to it, was fun!

I'm liking the colour palette in Wendy's volley there

Hey, not bad for "getting your feet wet".

Just curious, how did you achieve your lines in the background? I know there is a few ways to do this but how did you?

Many thanks Emo_boy. It feels good to get back into it.

I used this method for the 'starburst' effect.
http://biorust.com/tutorials/detail/72/en/
basicly just created a red to white gradient and ran a few filters :)

And I overlayed the starburst with a rust texture i had lying around. I used a section of the previous volley to replace the iris in the eye of the model, but im not crazy about the blending result tbh.

Oh no he is the second most handsome man ever, Roy Khan from Kamelot- I do love that band :D :D

And as for darker? Hmm well its all about the texture :D

[plus if you spent all day in a dark room drawing your pics would become darker too ;)]
