Rule #1. It must kick ass.

Rule #2. It must start now.

Rule #3. It shouldn't end for a long time.

that's what i'm talkin about...

i'm lost on themes, or what nots.. any ideas from the community? i agree.. it must kick ass..

say we do a "what can you draw in 15 minutes".. then the other person builds onto that (pasting the two images together in photoshop whichever way they want)... then a mural starts. then extend time limits.. ?? eh.. anything's up in the air

kind of a rough idea was that instead of having to incorporate the previous image in, maybe do the previous idea, as a background element. That way the styles of drawing stay unique, and no need to try and copy ones methods.

just and idea.

a mural does sound good, but i am not sure how to start it.

I've got an idea. This will go beyond the realms of friendly fire. This will be real-world engaging, if you know what i mean.

We're to be given assignment from our editor, and we have to compete to see which piece is used. We'll stick mainly to illustration. Everything has to be created by hand, any kind of raw medium is welcome, and scanned in to fit the specific size restrictions.

Examples that I think will be fun.

1. Book Cover - Hitch-Hikers Guide to the Galaxy
2. Newspaper - Sunday Morning Cartoon Strip Replacement
3. Newspaper - Political Cartoon
4. Magazine - Redraw an article that has a photo
5. Internet - Pick a news article to draw to (CNN, FOX, BBC)

ok, that's just a start.. the possibilities are endless on what we can choose to draw for, or draw to.

----

if you need some drawing music, check out stranger lazy, self promotion rocks

There's some great work in this thread.
I love that first one out of the last lot, the giant washing machine one.
Very random looking and very cool.

I drew that one for my fiance's sister.. who in return will give us a gift card for a new washer and dryer.. it's supposed to be my interpretation of a post 9/11 world, and how we the people and myself are dealing with it. I basically came up with, "humans have the ability much like a washing machine, to wash away the dirt in life, even if it's a heavy wash".. they have a couple kids, so i threw in a swing set and sand box.

you like the telephone pole i snuck in there?

drawing is neat.. everyone draw!!!
