Effort to Stop Spam

I installed a MOD today which upgrades the random letter generator that you have to verify when you register on this forum. Hopefully, by installing this better captcha (random letters) system, it will make it harder for the spam bots to sign up and post. I know it's not foolproof but hopefully it will at least cut on on the bots we've had lately.

I guess we'll have to wait and watch to see how effective it is.

what are/is these bots objective anyways? i dont get why they even exist, just to piss people off?

Promote their pornography links. Advertisers probably pay them to give the exposure out.

hardcore pron is not nasty, its quite the opposite!!

spam is nasty tho, and the pron industry needs to get its act together or it will loose my business.
