Sorry, I just find it odd because you said above for Alex's idea.
Alex thought of doing a 'ladder system' type of thing, just like CSFX said. (Alex did, however, suggest of incorpating the forums more by like win/lose records and whatever).

I'm not against this idea at all, I just like Skate's different directions :)

Still didnt answer yet CSFX, would most of it take place of the forum? (IE. Posting the images and themes)? Or how?

how is it like alex's idea? there isn't really any competition involved in this. we're not keep records of how many times someone has won or lost a battle. to be honest, i dont like judging on ps tennis battles, although this takes it on a much lighter level than alex's original idea.

i think it should just take place in the PS tennnis section. open 'enrollment' to 'divisions' each week/biweek/month/whatever. that way if someone doesnt have the time to make an entry, they wont feel obligated.

I love this forum but i would really love some sort of league going on.

I.E. people in one league work towards a admin chosen theme, then after the time has expired (say a week) members vote and the score gos on a league table.

I'm sure you have seen it on other forums.

The problem is it would require dedication by both the admin and the league players that has failed in the past. But were a dedicated kinda bunch!

maybe??? :ai:

Important stuff is bolded.

yea sort of, but each round goes on for one week. and is week in week out.

there is like people of different abilitys in each league, i.e. first division, second division, premier division.

Sounds similar to a ladder system to me.

i didnt see that before, but in that case, i'm not really for that part of the idea.

i dont know what the heck you're talking about by ladder. especially when people choose their own league

Anyways, I'm down for the idea, we might have to do something about the 'points' part of it, if everyone doesn't agree with it. Maybe we could come to an agreement some how, comprise some way?

also, i don't think it should occur every week. its going to be hard to get several people able to pull out volleys every week.

maybe every other?

Yeah, every week would probably be too much.

just create a monthly theme with a standard size given.
than a jury pick three out and all will vote on those 3.

thats sounds easy simple and fun to me

that would make it much easier, plus we dont have to worry about divisions.

Yeah, we can try something like that then, good suggestion Tee.

Skate and I will get together and think of a theme and how to set it up!

Yeah, just give a little bit to set things up.

So it's cool to have it right through the forums then?

Once (or if) I get pstennis.net online, we can put the theme of the month on that website too so more people can see and get involved.

(Skate and I need to come up with some ideas for themes).

Skate and I agreed on doing something just like this. We will have a monthly design challenge and we will have one theme, you can choose to submit one design and I think the max can be two per person. I'll have a group pick out three and everyone vote on them. (If we do two entries per person, both of them can't go to the final round, only one).

What do you like of that?

Skate and I sat down and built a very good part of www.pstennis.net today. It's going to feature the AI Monthly Challenge on the main page. It will be up for the start of Feb, so look out :D
