Damn..this is like the only forum that doesnt hate on new people, lol. Yeah it sucks not having internet though. I saved some images from here that some people did and am acting like im in a battle, just messing with it to learn the basics of PS. I appreciate the gratitude and ill show yall some stuff when im done so you can let me know what you think. later

Oh quick question to anyone willing to help. How do i make things (pics, text, etc) look like graffiti. Im not talking about the lame ass graffiti text tutorials i keep seeing, but like to take an image and make it look like it's graffiti on a wall. I cant get it right, im trying not to use too many filters because i hear thats the pussy way out of things in PS. Which i can understand, it takes no skill to use filters. thanks to anyone who can help, if not well thanks anyways.

If I were you, I would download fonts.

If you would like to know how to do it the legit way. Buy a wacom tablet, get a caligraphy brush and tag your own name. (It's a lot harder than it sounds.)

Don't be afraid of filters. Filters can be very effective.

play play and play

www.good-tutorials.com - you wont create anything wonderful by following these but you'll get an idea of what the different buttons and techniques for stuff is.

good luck, have fun!

Welcome, you are doing the right thing, just read tutorials, play around and ask questions.... As far as with Graffiti, download some fonts as well as use the pen tool to draw lines and such. Look around and get some ideas...... I am a fan of graff myself.

Did a new one...ill try to post my stuff up here when i get a chance..no internet sort of messes that up.As far as the graffiti went, i did a lot of blending options to make it "fit" on the wall the best i could. wasnt perfect but it wasnt too bad. thanks for all the tips everyone. i look forward to battleing in the future.
