my idea is god doesnt like your new computer.... thats just my opinion though.

ive never heard of a CPU being the cause of a monitor not to work.....

do you have the right drivers? if your not sure then check and/or reinstall the drivers or find them on the web and download them

Try the monitor from another computer on your new one, if that doesn't work it has to be your video card,

I would guess it's the video card, but just get the drivers from another computer and try it. Otherwise the best thing to do is keep trying different setup's (take out RAM, video cards, ect) until you find what's wrong.

Did you install the drivers that came with your Motherboard?

That does suck that you can't get your new computer to work...

But stress often comes with new computers when your building them. It's an additional feature. ;)

Good question, if you simply can't get the monitor to work, try a different monitor, if that doesnt work then try a search on google, because that is odd. Again, I'm betting it has something to do with the video card or motherboard.

i'd say its either your video card or a pin in your socket, sometimes they can break off making it now work. i'd tell u try another monitor and check sockets and cable pins are all there. Also check your video card and that its all in tight.

does the monitor work until it gets into windows? it might be set at a refresh rate which is too high for the monitor? which would mean it would "turn off" :/ just a though.

an old monitor of mine did this... infact 3 of them.

the monitor just died and stayed on yellow led, instead of green and would never wake back up again. had to send it back 3 times (did it on 3 new monitors) and in the end they changed the model (thank fuck i got iiyama now) so unfortunatly you might have the same problem.
