Before I did a clean new install of XP on my system, it shows that my AMD Barton 2500+ was around 1.09 GHz. I haven't done any overclocking or anything, but when I re-formated my drive, it now says 1.83 GHz and preforms much much better. Any reasons why that may have happend?

I'll just assume it was magic. I'm glad it did though, it pretty much doubled by preformance.

It should have never been that slow to start with, just barely over 1 GHz, for an AMD 2500+ Barton, but it did get bumped up some how. I was in BIOs when I was re-formatted my drives, I'm pretty sure I didn't touch the multipler or anything processor related, but I'm not complaining, cause I'm close to 2 GHz now.

Thanks guys.
