Yeah, it works in IE and that's about it for the major ones. It may work in Opera too, but I'm not sure.

indeed. scroll styles aren't ment to change actually. IE is one of the browsers who actually do allow it.

a lot of people use themese which I believe over rule it even in ie as well... :S

hm, do windows themes overrule css styles? I think not that many people use themes? (if you look at it world wide..)

It is pretty gash, I used to have code for transparent iframes and scrollbars - was nice if you had a scrollbar over a non tiled image - you could just have the outline and the rest transparent...

I found the code somewhere at daydreamgraphics.com
^ some gayboi site for cartoon obsessed "designers" back in the day :D

u can make images into scrollbars, not the main scrollbar tho. U can do it in flash too.

this thing has to be very easy to put new content in, so I wanted to change the scrollbar appearance and make it an iframe, but I think I would have to make it in flash and make an external .txt file from where to load new content so that I have to change only the .txt file every time. I don´t know how to make this but I think that is the fun part of doing something new :s

Yeah, trying new things are fun. Although, I'm not a huge fan of frames in general.
