What you do you think of the new design? They just released it today (6.6.06). I didn't like it as much, I guess I'm just getting sick of that same style in every version.

thats fantastic! so glad to see them re-inventing their own style.

Its well overdue and will no doubt be another one to remember.

Are you serious or joking? I can't tell.

To me it seems like the same old style that EJ has been using for 5 years now. Don't get me wrong, Eric is simply amazing, but this style is overdone. Atleast this version was a better upgrade then 3.0 to 4.0.

The navigation is horrible though, I hate it.

The navigation is pretty rough that's true, but on the other hand the graphics of the lay are really amazing , so good I don't even mind the annoying navigation.

I was being serious.

However, I only had a quick look around and couldnt actually view their portfolio properly.

What I meant about the 2a style is its not trying hard to be futuristic, hard to explain. but its very different.

Mac OS-X user? I worked with a Apple a few times, works pretty good.
But why don't you use Firefox or Opera?

Yeah, I wouldn't touch Safari, when I'm an Mac OS-X it's Firefox or Opera only.

But that is pretty dumb if it doesn't display correctly. You might want to refresh the page or something because that just seems very odd.

they have a very specifit ordience, eric jordan has said himself that hes not particualry caught up on w3c standards and shit like that, its a good thing.

On a car level, Look what emissions, safety and economical testing has done to the car insdustry, No more decent supercars just plain old city runners. The same will happen to the net if everyone starts doing things "by the book"

Lets be honistl... a small percentage of web users, use safari.. And most of their client im willing to bet use standard browsers such as IE.

I just figured he would have designed and programmed everything on a mac, I guess this proves that he probably didn't. Or atleast didn't test it on the mac.

Seriously though, in the business world, you have to test all browsers unless you don't mind throwing away some of your potentional market.

It doesn't display correctly in Firefox for me either. The navigation is offset to the left and cut off. Maybe its because I'm on a 12-inch laptop :?:

Edit: did I mention the sound loop is short and lame?

Yup I agree with Emo, If you are too lazy or don't want to create websites properly by 'the book' or even don't use guidelines then you will lose a lot of visitors.

Normally it shouldn't matter, if he aligned his navigations in css with ' absolute ' then it should stand properly no matter how big/small your monitor is, only you would get a scroll to the left-right and up-down.[/quote]

I saw it the other day, didn't even notice it was a new design

That says a little about their ability to renew themselves
